// this was from a few weeks ago. please excuse the poor quality video! //
we had a big day in this little house yesterday; although Ava has been pushing around her walker for a few weeks now {see video above for one of her first attempts}, yesterday she took her first unaided steps. TWO WHOLE STEPS!!!
i've said it before and i'll say it again: they grow up SO FAST! and every new skill mastered is so bitter sweet for me. this little person seems so determined to do everything early too. i realise that i don't have long at all now before she is literally running around the house.
so i didn't get her first steps on camera but i did get some photos of her busy in her nursery yesterday. she is not the sort of baby to just sit, she must be busy busy busy at all times. love that busy baby.
Congratulations Mum and Ava!! How exciting, I got a little teary eyed watching the video too! It's amazing how quickly these little people grow! My Fiona is 9 months, she is pulling up onto furniture at the moment.
ReplyDeletewell done Ava!! Mum you must be super proud! Caleb has that walker too but he's more interested in the front of it than to use it for walking!! I know what you mean about it all being bittersweet, i'm desperate for him to walk so he can stop being so frustrated but at the same time happy for him to stay my little baby that little bit longer.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Well done Ava!! How exciting, can't wait for Lydia to take her first steps but dreading her growing up in equal measure. Becky x
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable! How exciting the first steps are! Give her another huge huggle!
ReplyDelete:-)
Rio's the same with his walker now, just acts like a pro! Yay for the first steps. Rio did his and then realised and sat down. He's lacking confidence at the minute but we'll get there :) I always say it but i do envy your photo skills!
ReplyDeletemy video skills leave a lot to be desired however!!
Deletethank you for the sweet comments everyone!! it has been lovely to share it with you all! :) xx
ReplyDeleteCertainly an amazing moment!! What a beautiful baby...you're blessed! Our youngest is 10 weeks and my older children are always wondering what she'll be like when she's one...they can't believe she'll start walking around then! Their growth and development is truly miraculous.
ReplyDeleteHere's my moment (I'm visiting from Soulemama's blog):
